Das Vinyl & Music Festival begeistert durch seine einzigartige Mischung aus Musikalien-Verkaufsausstellung, Plattenbörse, Indie Label Market, Live-Auftritten, Get-together, Sonderschauen und Specials. Es bringt zusammen was zusammengehört: Musiker, Instrumente, Abspielgeräte, Tonträger und ist der Treffpunkt aller, die Freude an Musik haben, gerne Musik hören oder selbst gerne musizieren. Es ist das Festival für Ihre Ohren und irren Sound!

Rund 150 internationale Aussteller,– Plattenläden und -händler, HiFi, Instrumentenbauer, Jukeboxen, Indie-Labels, Poster-Artists, Foodtrucks, Musiker, DJs – und tausende Musikbegeisterte lassen das Ottakringer Vinyl & Music Festival zum musikalischen Nabel Österreichs werden. Den passenden Rahmen bietet mit der Ottakringer Brauerei in Wien die wohl kultigste Musik- und Festivallocation in Österreich.

Für Musikfreunde und Musikschaffende aller Genres, Musiker, Produzenten, Labels und Händler  ist das  Vinyl & Music Festival aufgrund seines gelebten Mottos „zusammenbringen was zusammengehört“, des bunten Programms und der Vielfalt und Vielzahl an Ausstellern, ideal um sich auszutauschen und zu vernetzen.

Der Indie Label Market zeugt vom Schaffen „junger Wilder“ ebenso wie in ihrem Genre (international) arrivierter, vom Mainstream meist kaum wahrgenommener Künstler. (Handsiebgedruckte) Prints und Artworks für Cover und Konzertposter begeistern optisch, die musikalische Vielfalt beeindruckt selbst Brancheninsider.

2024 wurde das Ottakringer Vinyl & Music Festival um den Wiener Instrumente Salon erweitert.

Im Rahmen des Wiener Instrumente Salons präsentierten nicht nur Wiener sondern einige der renommiertesten österreichischen und internationalen Instrumentenbauer:innen ihre handgefertigten Meisterwerke. Von Geigen über Bässe und Gitarren bis hin zu Handpans, Cajons und Schlagzeugen – auf einem eigenen Floor, dem 500 Quadratmeter großen Hefeboden, gab es (fast) alles, was das Musikerherz begehrt, inklusive einem „Tryout-Room“ indem die Instrumente ausprobiert und gespielt werden können. Bereits an der ersten Ausgabe des Salons nahmen zwanzig Instrumentenbauer teil!

Eine Kooperation mit Junge Fotografie/Berufsschule für Fotografie setzte die Instrumentenbauer zusätzlich ins Licht – ausgewählte Bilder wurden sogar in der LEICA-Galerie im ersten Wiener Bezirk ausgestellt!

Begleitet wird das Festival von einem ebenso attraktiven wie abwechslungsreichen Rahmenprogramm.

… und weil bekanntlich auch die Liebe zur Musik durch den Magen geht, sorgen Foodtrucks, Getränke- und Kaffeebars für Gaumenfreuden.

The Vinyl & Music Festival thrills with its unique blend of a music sales exhibition, record fair, indie label market, live performances, get-togethers, special showcases, and special features. It brings together what belongs together: musicians, instruments, playback devices, recording mediums; and it’s the meeting spot for everyone who enjoys music, loves listening to music, or likes to make music themselves. It’s the festival for your ears and crazy sound!

Around 150 international exhibitors – record stores and dealers, HiFi, instrument makers, jukeboxes, indie labels, poster artists, food trucks, musicians, DJs – and thousands of music enthusiasts turn the Ottakringer Vinyl & Music Festival into the musical epicenter of Austria. The perfect setting is provided by the Ottakringer Brewery in Vienna, arguably the most iconic music and festival location in Austria.

For music lovers and creators of all genres, musicians, producers, labels, and traders, the Vinyl & Music Festival is ideal for exchanging ideas and networking because of its lived motto „bringing together what belongs together“, the colorful program, and the variety and number of exhibitors.

The Indie Label Market bears witness to the work of „young wild ones“ as well as those (internationally) established in their genre, artists who are mostly barely noticed by the mainstream. (Hand-screen-printed) prints and artworks for covers and concert posters excite visually, while the musical diversity impresses even industry insiders.

In 2024, the Ottakringer Vinyl & Music Festival was expanded to Wiener Instrumente Salon (Vienna Instrument Salon).

As part of the Vienna Instrument Salon, not only Viennese but also some of the most renowned Austrian and international instrument makers presented their handcrafted masterpieces. From violins to basses and guitars, to handpans, cajons, and drums – on a separate floor, the 500 square meter Hefeboden, there was (almost) everything a musician’s heart desires, including a „Tryout-Room“ where instruments can be tested and played. Twenty instrument makers participated in the first edition of the Salon!

A collaboration with Junge Fotografie/Berufsschule für Fotografie (vocational school of photography) also put the instrument makers in the spotlight – selected images were even exhibited in the LEICA Gallery in the first district of Vienna!

The festival is accompanied by an equally attractive and varied accompanying program.

… and since the love for music also goes through the stomach, as they say, food trucks, beverage, coffee bars will take care of culinary delights.
