Wenn sich mexikanische Blues-Rhythmen mit dem Duft von frisch zubereiteten Tacos vermischen …  Am 10. Ottakringer Vinyl & Music Festival zieht ein ganz besonderer Vibe ein. Die Navajos Blues Band aus Mexiko eröffnet am Samstag um 13 Uhr die Open-Air-Stage in der Ottakringer Brauerei.

Die Navajos Blues Band ist eine echte Familienband: Vater, Söhne und Tochter vereint durch die gemeinsame Leidenschaft für Vinyl, Blues, Rock. Auch lateinamerikanische Einflüsse hört man in jedem Song – erdig, ehrlich und mit viel Groove.

Doch damit nicht genug: Jessica, Sängerin der Band, übernimmt später am Tag auch die DJ-Booths am Indie-Label-Markt. Zwischen Plattenkisten und Labelständen verbindet sie Bühne, Markt und Community auf ganz eigene Weise.

Und weil auch die Liebe zur Musik durch den Magen geht, ist für das leibliche Wohl bestens gesorgt: El Jefe bringt mexikanisches Streetfood – Tacos, Burritos, Fajitas & Co. – auf das Festivalgelände. Würzig, frisch und genau so, wie es zur Musik passt.

Ein Festival-Auftakt, der nicht nur gehört, sondern erlebt werden will. ¡Viva México!

When Mexican blues rhythms blend with the smell of freshly prepared tacos, one thing is clear: a very special vibe is taking over the Vinyl & Music Festival. On Saturday, the Navajos Blues Band from Mexico will open the Open-Air Stage at Ottakringer Brewery, setting the tone for the day.

The Navajos Blues Band is a true family band: father, sons and daughter, united by a shared passion for vinyl, blues, rock and Latin American influences. You can hear it in every song – raw, honest and full of groove.

But that’s not all. Jessica, the band’s singer, will also take over the DJ booth at the Indie Label Market later that day. Between record crates and label stands, she connects stage, market and community in her own unique way.

And because the love for music also goes through the stomach, the culinary side is well taken care of too:   brings authentic Mexican street food – tacos, burritos, fajitas & more – to the festival grounds. Spicy, fresh and perfectly matched to the music.
