Leichteste E-Gitarre am Vinyl & Music Festival

Finally geht`s an die Nachberichterstattung. Schnee von gestern? Keinesfalls! Darum starten wir die Nachberichterstattung mit einem feinen Video und der Präsentation der leichtesten E-Gitarre der Welt am Wiener Instrumente Salon im Rahmen des Ottakringer Vinyl & Music Festivals 2025, der JAFmaster!

 

Die JAFmaster ist das Ergebnis eines Custom-Build-Projekts der European Guitar Builders (EGB). Was als Gedankenexperiment begann, wurde nach monatelanger Tüftelei, unzähligen Experimenten und intensivem Austausch zur klangstarken Realität – entwickelt exklusiv für Christoph Gruber. Die JAFmaster ist als ultraleichte und kompakte Shortscale Headless Thinline Archtop E-Gitarre mit 24 Bünden und kurzer Mensur konzipiert. Sie kombiniert magnetische Pickups mit Kontakttonabnehmern an sinnvollen Stellen in Korpus und Hals. Diese Kombination ermöglicht sowohl die Einbindung akustischer Elemente in das Klangbild als auch die Erfassung der Interaktion mit dem Instrument. Die Elektronik wird hauptsächlich durch Regler und Blendpotis gesteuert, während das Konzept von mehreren Kanälen und dem Blenden verschiedener Sounds am Pedalboard fortgesetzt wird. Der Name JAFmaster leitet sich von den Initialen der beteiligten Gitarrenbauer – Johannes, Adam und Frank – ab, die alle Meister ihres Fachs sind.

The JAFmaster is the result of a custom-build project by the European Guitar Builders (EGB). What began as a thought experiment transformed into a sonically powerful reality after months of tinkering, countless experiments, and intensive collaboration—developed exclusively for Christoph Gruber. The JAFmaster is designed as an ultra-light and compact short-scale headless thinline archtop electric guitar with 24 frets and a short scale length. It combines magnetic pickups with contact pickups placed strategically in the body and neck. This combination allows for the integration of acoustic elements into the sound and captures the interaction with the instrument. The electronics are primarily controlled through knobs and blend pots, while the concept of multiple channels and blending different sounds continues at the pedalboard. The name JAFmaster is derived from the initials of the guitar builders involved — Johannes, Adam, and Frank — who are all masters in their craft.
